So, with my horrendous cold finally in abeyance - though I feel guilty complaining, having discovered that Michael Sheen powered through Hamlet with flu (flu!) - I took up the theatre mantle and went back to the reviewing.
On Wednesday, I went to the Soho and saw The Table. Normally a puppetry show would have me running for the hills, but this was surprisingly entertaining, although I liked the first part far more than the last two pieces. Also, only an hour long, which always makes me happy. (Full review here).
Last night I saw the far more serious Execution of Justice at the Southwark Playhouse, a powerful piece on the trial of Dan White, the man who murdered Harvey Milk and the Mayor of San Francisco George Moscone. I enjoyed it, even if I thought it would have benefited from a slightly broader focus. Review here.
